The Slack integration delivers partner workflow notifications to your team’s Slack workspace. When a partner submits a deal registration, your team receives a Slack message with full deal details and interactive approve or reject buttons — no need to log into PartnerOS to take action.

What the Slack integration does

  • Sends a structured Slack message whenever a partner submits a deal registration
  • Lets workspace members approve or reject deal registrations directly in Slack by clicking a button
  • Updates the Slack message to reflect the decision after it is made, so the thread stays accurate
  • Sends notification messages for other key partner events as your workflow is configured
Slack is a notification and action integration, not a data sync integration. It does not read or write CRM records; it delivers events from PartnerOS to Slack and processes interactive responses.

Prerequisites

  • You must be a Slack workspace admin or have permission to install apps to your Slack workspace.
  • You must be a PartnerOS Owner or Admin.
  • You need a Slack channel where deal registration notifications should be posted. Create this channel before connecting if it does not already exist.

Connect Slack

1

Open Settings > Integrations

In PartnerOS, navigate to Settings > Integrations and find the Slack card.
2

Click Connect Slack

Click Connect Slack. You are redirected to Slack’s OAuth authorization screen.
3

Select your workspace

Choose the Slack workspace you want to connect. If you manage multiple workspaces, make sure you select the correct one.
4

Allow permissions

Review the permissions PartnerOS is requesting and click Allow. PartnerOS needs permission to post messages and update messages in your Slack workspace.
5

Confirm the connection

You are redirected back to Settings > Integrations. The Slack card shows Active with your workspace name and team ID.
Slack bot tokens do not expire, so you will not need to reconnect Slack due to token expiry. If you revoke the app from Slack’s App Management settings, the connection will stop working and you will need to reconnect.

How deal registration notifications work

When a partner submits a deal registration through the partner portal, PartnerOS:
  1. Posts a message to the configured Slack channel with the deal details (account name, deal value, expected close date, contact information, and the partner’s notes).
  2. Includes two interactive buttons: Approve and Reject.
  3. When a team member clicks Approve, PartnerOS converts the registration into an approved deal and notifies the partner. The Slack message is updated to show who approved it and when.
  4. When a team member clicks Reject, PartnerOS records the rejection and notifies the partner. The Slack message is updated to reflect the decision.
The approval or rejection is processed in the background — PartnerOS acknowledges the button click immediately so Slack does not time out waiting for a response.
Each deal registration can only be approved or rejected once. If a registration has already been decided, clicking a button in the original Slack message will have no effect.

Configure the notification channel

After connecting Slack, you configure which channel receives deal registration notifications from within the deal registration settings in PartnerOS. The Slack connection itself does not specify a channel — the channel is chosen per notification type.

Disconnect Slack

Open the connection detail page in Settings > Integrations and click Disconnect. This removes the stored Slack bot token and stops all Slack notifications. You can reconnect at any time.
