The PartnerOS onboarding wizard runs the first time you sign in. It uses your company’s domain — derived from your work email address — to generate two AI-powered strategic profiles that form the foundation of your partner program. You don’t need to fill in a questionnaire or import data; the AI analyzes your domain and streams results directly in the browser. This page explains what the wizard does at each step, what to expect from the generated profiles, and how to get the best results before you move on.Documentation Index

What the wizard generates
The wizard produces two profiles: Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) — a structured description of the customers your company is best positioned to serve. Your ICP includes firmographic characteristics (industry, company size, geography), pain points, buying signals, and other attributes that define your best-fit accounts. Understanding your ICP is the starting point for partner strategy: the partners worth recruiting are the ones who already work with those customers. Ideal Partner Profile (IPP) — a description of the partner types, business models, and characteristics that make a partner a strong fit for helping you reach your ICP. Your IPP translates your customer insight into partner recruiting criteria. It tells you what kinds of companies to pursue, what commercial models make sense, and what to look for in a partner relationship. Together, your ICP and IPP give PartnerOS the strategic context it needs to generate executive summaries, surface partner suggestions, and populate your intelligence dashboards with meaningful data. The three wizard steps
Ideal Customer Profile
When the wizard loads, PartnerOS immediately begins analyzing your company domain. You’ll see the ICP card populate in real time as the AI streams results — no button to click, just review as it appears. The profile covers:
- Target industries and verticals
- Ideal company size and organizational characteristics
- Geography and market focus
- Key pain points and buying triggers
- Typical stakeholders and decision-making patterns
- Regenerate — discards the current result and runs a fresh generation from scratch
- Edit with AI — opens a chat sidebar where you can describe specific changes you want to make (for example, “narrow the industry focus to SaaS companies with 50–500 employees”)
Ideal Partner Profile
Once you confirm your ICP, PartnerOS uses it as input to build your IPP. The IPP streams in real time just like the ICP — you’ll see it populate as the AI works. The profile describes:
- Partner types (resellers, referral partners, technology partners, agency partners, and so on)
- Ideal partner size and market reach
- Business models and commercial structures that work best for your program
- Customer overlap characteristics — the degree to which a partner’s customers match your ICP
- What to look for when evaluating fit
Brand & identity
The final step collects your workspace identity details. These aren’t AI-generated — you fill them in directly:
- Company domain — pre-filled from your email if you used a work address; enter manually if you signed up with a personal email
- Display name — how your organization name appears inside PartnerOS
- Logo — your company logo for the workspace
- Brand colors — primary, secondary, and accent colors used in exported materials and partner-facing views
If you used a personal email address to sign up (such as Gmail or Outlook), the first field in this step asks you to provide your actual company domain. PartnerOS needs a corporate domain to generate accurate ICP and IPP data. Providing it here lets the AI run its analysis before your workspace is finalized.
Returning to onboarding
PartnerOS caches your ICP and IPP results by domain. If you return to the onboarding wizard — for example, as part of testing or after a workspace reset — the wizard pre-fills your existing profiles instead of triggering a new AI generation. You’ll start at the review stage for each step rather than waiting for a fresh stream. If you want a genuinely fresh generation, use the Regenerate button on each card. This overwrites the cached result for your domain. After onboarding
When you confirm the Brand & Identity step, PartnerOS marks your onboarding as complete and takes you to the strategy workspace. From there you can:- Review and further refine your ICP and IPP from the strategy pages
- Generate an executive summary for your program
- Add partners and begin tracking relationships
- Connect your CRM to sync partner and deal data
